Movie night

Has anyone see the Doris Day movie called The Pajama Game? Omg, it's about a bunch of girls working in a sewing factory making pajamas. The opening scene is great; all the great house dresses, smocks, the shirtwaist dresses and the aprons.... oh the aprons! The colors are great, so bright and cheery. And who doesn't love a Doris Day movie with sewing!?

  1. Ooh, I haven't seen this one. I'm thinking I need to watch it ASAP! I'm loving the look of that pink dress, on the girl to the right, with black/white accents on the cuffs and collar.

  2. Yes! That's the exact one I was looking at! I couldn't tell if the accents on the skirt were to outline a giant pockets. I'm going thru my patterns to see what would work. It seems like they use a lot of circle skirts. I have a couple more movies that I'll post about too, maybe do an old movie dress review.

  3. A musical + Doris day + housedresses + shirtwaist dresses + aprons (APRONS!) = thinking I've died and gone to heaven.

I KNOW what I'm doing tonight! I'll be sure to tell my husband to thank you teehee.
