I think after finding lots of images on the interwebs (hehehe) that I'll ditch the dirndl skirt. I have a nice vintage Butterick four gore skirt pattern that I'll use instead (pic to come!). I am also having a big problem trying to figure out how to sew the point on the triangular midriff. If I can't get it to look right I guess I will ditch it and go for a regular waistband with button closures. Ugh, any tut's out there showing a good way to do this?
