Ugh

Here is the disaster. It's just lumpy and poofy. Wtf, it's supposed to be flat. The instructions have you make a snip to turn the corner. It never works; never.

  1. Oh, honey- I feel your pain- I can never seem to get corners like this to look right- sometimes I even wimp out and put a button on it to make a bold statement out of my ineptitude!

  2. I just found another pattern from the. Late 60s that has a raglan yoke like this one. I'm going to read its instruction and hope it helps. It can't possibly be worse.

I think I'll have to rip up that section and sew the cut section back together and start again. This was supposed to be my easy dress too.

  3. I feel your pain! I always I get much better results by sewing through with a pivot, then snipping. Even still, this has gotta be the toughest sewing seam thing to get right!!

  4. Yeah, I think I just got too lazy and thought I could just wing it. I have to rip it out and mend the slice. Then sew it again and nip the corner again.
